His energetic performances and unique sound have earned him millions of fans globally. Asake represents the exciting evolution of African pop music.

SOUND AND STORYTELLING:
Asake blends Yoruba lyricism, Fuji cadences, streetwise chants, and South African Amapiano log drums into an immediately recognisable soundscape. Working closely with producer Magicsticks, he punctuates anthems like Sungba, Peace Be Unto You, and Terminator with crowd vocals that mirror Lagos street culture while celebrating joy and resilience. His melodies are infectious yet rooted in traditional call-and-response structures.

CAREER LIFT-OFF:
Signed to Olamide’s YBNL Nation in February 2022, Asake’s debut album Mr Money With The Vibe set Apple Music Nigeria’s record for first-day streams and entered both the Billboard 200 and Official UK Albums Chart. Follow-up project Work of Art (2023) confirmed him as a hit machine, delivering chart-toppers such as Lonely At The Top, which spent weeks at number one on the TurnTable Top 100.

GLOBAL STAGE PRESENCE:
Within 18 months, Asake sold out back-to-back shows at London’s O2 Academy Brixton, headlined the Afro Nation festivals, and in August 2023 became one of the fastest Nigerian artists to sell out the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena. Television appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and collaborations with Burna Boy and H.E.R. signalled his crossover appeal.

CULTURAL IMPACT AND STYLE:
Nicknamed “Mr Money,” he brings runway flair to African streetwear, partnering with Lagos designers and spotlighting contemporary Yoruba fashion. His visuals champion communal prayer, hustle, and celebration, giving global audiences a window into everyday Lagos life.
