Durbar Festival
The Durbar Festival is a magnificent display of Hausa-Fulani culture featuring elaborately dressed horsemen in a grand parade. Held during Eid celebrations in northern cities like Kano, Katsina, and Zaria, the festival has roots in military parades from centuries ago. Hundreds of horse riders in colorful regalia charge toward the Emir's palace, performing acrobatic feats and demonstrating martial skills. Musicians, drummers, and trumpeters add to the spectacle.
