Ikogosi Warm Springs

Ikogosi Warm Springs is a unique tourist attraction in Ekiti State where warm and cold water springs flow side by side but never mix. The warm spring maintains a temperature of about 70°C (158°F) while the cold spring flows at about 37°C (98°F). According to local legend, the springs originated from two feuding wives who were transformed by the gods. Discovered by colonial surveyors in 1852, the springs were developed into a resort in the 1990s. The site features a conference center, chalets, swimming pool, and nature trails through the surrounding forest. Geologists believe the warm spring is heated by underground geothermal activity. Ikogosi attracts tourists, researchers, and those seeking the spring's therapeutic properties.
