Obudu Mountain Resort

Obudu Mountain Resort (formerly Obudu Cattle Ranch) is Nigeria's premier highland resort located in Cross River State. Sitting at 1,576 meters above sea level, the resort offers temperate climate, stunning mountain views, and lush landscapes. Originally established in 1951 as a cattle ranch by Scottish settler Dr. Hugh Jones, it was transformed into a tourist resort in the 1970s. The resort features Africa's longest cable car (3.5km), offering spectacular aerial views of the Sankwala Mountains. Activities include hiking, swimming, golf, and bird watching. The annual Obudu Mountain Race attracts international athletes. With its unique climate and natural beauty, Obudu is often called "Africa's Switzerland."
